OVERVIEW

We are looking to recruit an experienced Commercial Analyst to work closely with the GM, Sales, Marketing & Finance team to provide analytical support to enhance decision making, measuring business performance in the marketplace, measuring impact of marketing operational plans and assist delivery on commercial planning processes and outcomes.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES 

• Collect, analyse, and maintain sales performance reports.
• Create visualisations and dashboards to present data using Power BI and Excel to support the sales and marketing team.
• Assist in market analysis in the sales and development of products or services.
• Identify, develop and incorporate data sources to analyse and determine purchasing habits to predict and recommend future trends and behaviors for the commercial team.
• Develop smart processes and systems to provide visibility and insights into the business to drive focus on opportunities.
• Support the management of pricing, tenders and contracts.
• Work closely with sales and marketing to identify opportunities to improve margins.
• Prepare reports and presentations for senior management, providing insights and recommendations.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including sales, marketing, finance and commercial excellence, to support project management, develop pricing strategies and promotional plans.
• Support the development and implementation of business plans and strategies.
• Support commercial team on new product launch/business development, market modelling & alignment of market intelligence information.
• Lead and drive consistency in analytics around market size, revenue and growth – be able to align and work closely with GM, Commercial & Finance team.
• Evaluate new business opportunities, new products and spending initiatives by modelling alternative financial scenarios (e.g. revenues, margin, cost etc.). 
• Perform ad hoc analysis and provide support for special projects, as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE 

• A bachelor’s degree in data Analytics, Accounting, Finance, Statistics, or Economics
• 5+ years of experience in Business Analytics or Finance
• Innovative thinking and analytical knowledge for assessment and interpretation of data
• Strong interpersonal skills: the ability to work with senior management.
• Exposure to business intelligence tools like Power BI and Tableau
• Corporate finance knowledge, budget management training, and research skills is desirable.
