Our team in WA has an opportunity for a Carpenter to join our family orientated and vibrant team.

At AWB Co we work across WA & SA on various government and commercial contracts undertaking everything from day-to-day maintenance  through to quoted works. 

The good thing is, there is no need to come into the office every morning. We operate via a mobile field-based system; you can leave your house to arrive at your first job for the morning.

Our carpenters carry out work inclusive of the following:

• General breakdown, scheduled and preventative carpentry works like hanging doors, installing door hardware, installing plasterboard, repairing ceilings, etc 
• Carry out carpentry works on small minor work projects
• Minor scoping and preparation of works, be able to read plans and drawings
• Measuring and ordering of materials in preparation of works.
• Be able to use iPhone, IPad to organise your schedule
• A good problem-solver and have an all-round construction knowledge
• Have a good level of fitness and a good punctual track record
• Capable of receiving and following instructions and communicating with co-workers/clients

Successful candidate will be required to go on a call roster for after hours call outs (retainer and allowances paid)

Preferred candidates will have the following:

• Current trade qualification as carpenter 
• 5+ years’ experience 
• Past experience working on government maintenance contracts or in the commercial sector would be highly regarded.
• Driver’s licence
• Police clearance or the ability to obtain one.
• White card or the ability to obtain one.
• The ability to operate effectively within a team and work unsupervised.
• High work standards
• Own Carpentry trade tools. Any speciality tools will be provided by AWB.
• Excellent IT and verbal communication skills 
• A strong commitment to safety 
• Familiarity with utilising online/mobile job management systems such as SimPRO/Aroflow/Service M8 would be highly regarded
