About us
We are relocating to larger premises due to growing demand for our Buildings, and need to take on additional trades, such as Carpenters, Roofers, and laborers.
Perth-based Portable Building Company, we build Portable Buildings in our factory in Oakford, specializing in Portable Granny Flats, Portable offices, and Accommodation Blocks.
Job Type: Casual role, with the potential of permanent full-time for the right candidate
Working Hours: 6:30 AM to 3:00 PM (with possible overtime)
Qualifications & experience
- A sound understanding of OH&S procedures To be organized, punctual, well presented.
- Experience in Portable Building and general construction would be an advantage.
- Show initiative and great at problem-solving To be able to work well with our existing team as well as autonomously. A positive attitude with a great work ethic, Reliable and self-motivated
- Available to start immediately.
- Ability to pass drug and alcohol testing,
- Police clearance cert.
Tasks & responsibilities
Join our team at Portable Buildings WA in a dynamic manufacturing environment as a Trade Assistant. This role offers stability and a chance to showcase your skills in a long-term capacity. The primary responsibilities include:
- Construction of portable buildings
- Proficiency in using hand and power tools for various task.
- Communicating with and taking directions from supervisors
- Adhering to safety protocols and company policies.
- Meeting project deadlines and requirements under pressure.
- ·Fitting insulated panels to wall and roof ·Assisting in fitting out internals, bathroom, Kitchen, painting internal doors & skirting. Keeping work area clean. ·Ensuring that your work is always done to an excellent standard
- Ability to use Hand Tools, Correct & safe storage of materials.
- A forklift ticket would be an advantage.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Ability to follow instructions and work collaboratively within a team.
- Completion of required inductions, medical fitness, and passing a drug test.
- Full rights to work in Australia.
- Strong focus on safety and adherence to company policies and procedures.
- Also good to have: White Card, with Work at Heights highly regarded, Forklift ticket
- Must be able to pass Drug and Alcohol.
