THE OPPORTUNITY

You'll be responsible for accurately estimating project costs and ensuring our client’s projects stay within budget. You'll work closely with internal and external stakeholders to assess project needs, evaluate resources, and analyse costs. This role requires strong attention to detail and proficiency in estimation software.

Key areas of responsibility:

• Assess project specifications and scope.
• Evaluate material and equipment needs.
• Utilise estimation software for precise estimates.
• Analyse costs and conduct cost-benefit analysis.
• Ensure compliance with building codes and regulations.

ABOUT YOU

You're passionate about what you do and are eager to grow a career in construction. With at least 2-4 years of estimating experience, preferably in commercial construction and structural steel, you're ready to thrive in a close-knit team and collaborative environment at our client’s welcoming regional office.

To be successful, you will need to demonstrate:

• Experience: 2-4 years in commercial construction and preferably working with structural steel.
• Knowledge: Understanding of construction methods, materials, and techniques.
• Estimation Skills: Able to estimate project costs accurately using software.
• Detail-Oriented: Great attention to details for accurate estimates.
• Analytical Skills: Exceptional mathematical abilities coupled with strong cost analysis skills.
• Communication: Excellent communication and people skills - adept at engaging with diverse stakeholders.
• Deadline Management: Work well under pressure and can meet deadlines.
• Regulation Knowledge: Understanding of Australian building codes and regulations.
• Tech Proficiency: Proficient in estimating software with a strong ability to interpret technical drawings.
