ABOUT THE ROLE

Our business is growing and 2 new exciting opportunities exist for experienced MC Fleet Supervisors to join our team acting as a 2IC to the Operations Supervisor on a 2:1 roster (back to back) based in Onslow, Western Australia.

Scope of work includes the operation of 60+ MC Vehicles tasked to transport Iron Ore from Onslow through to Kens Bore and includes all associated HV servicing & maintenance and repair. 

Suitable applicants will have proven experience in a supervisory or leadership role, a background operating MC vehicles or Mechanical Trade and be able to coordinate, schedule and oversee operational activity, whilst maintaining reporting requirements, and compliance. 

The successful applicant will be able think on their feet, have a flexible approach, maintain attention to detail, hold a high regard for safety and communicate effectively within the team.

DUTIES:

  • Supervision of our fleet of trucks including, quad, super, ultra and tetra configuration side tippers.
  • Ensure the completion of Pre-Start Inspections for mechanical items and safety issues and preventative maintenance.
  • Plan routes to meet timely schedules.
  • Document accurate information on log sheets, consignment notes and other paperwork as required.
  • Comply with truck driving rules and regulations (size, weight, route designations, parking, break periods etc.) as well as all company policies and procedures.
  • Maneuver trucks into loading or unloading positions.
  • Collect and verify delivery instructions.
  • Report defects, accidents, or violations.
  • Maintain truck cleanliness and comply with hygiene requirements.

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in a similar capacity
  • Hold a current and active: 
    • MC Licence
  • Administer the Implementation of Fatigue Management Strategies
  • Apply Fatigue Management Strategies 
  • Supply a National Police Clearance and Traffic Infringement Notice (no more than 6 months old)
  • Mechanical aptitude
  • Display a positive attitude and outlook within the workplace.
  • A flexible, collaborative and reliable approach.

As part of the employment process, the successful applicant will be required to undertake a pre-employment medical and drug and alcohol screening and complete several company and client inductions.
