The Role
Meadowvale Retirement Village, located in Pakenham, is currently seeking an enthusiastic, committed and reliable Weekend Cook on a Casual basis.

Reporting the Village Manager, your duties will include:
You will be trained in and tasked with providing quality food service to our residents and assisting with the day-to-day kitchen operations & events of the village.

• Food preparation and cooking according to menu for the day
• Cleaning and upkeep of work station to food safety standards
• Work with the Kitchen Assistant to serve meals to residents

Your Background

• Be available Saturday and Sunday
• Experience in a Café or Restaurant food operations
• Experience cooking bistro style food
• Have relevant cooking experience or a cert 4 in hospitality or commercial cookery
• Be able to multitask and work unsupervised
• Have a strong customer-service focus

Shifts

• Casual approx 2 shifts per week
• Saturday 7am-2:00PM
• Sunday 7am -2:30PM
• Some extra hours may be required occasionally
