Townsville Private Clinic is a modern 73 bed voluntary private mental health service conveniently located on Wills Street in Townsville’s CBD. We are part of the Aurora Health Group which is one of the country’s largest privately-owned healthcare organisation with 36 medical/surgical, rehabilitation and mental health hospitals and day surgeries across Australia and one in New Zealand.
About the Role
We are seeking to employ an experienced Chef / Cook to join our busy Hotel Services Department on a permanent / part time or casual basis. Hours will be 6 am to 2 pm or 11 am to 7 pm and will include some weekend and public holidays. The successful applicant will work in a team that strives to deliver outstanding care to our patients.
Essential Criteria
- Food Handling Certificate
- Certificate 3 or 4 in Commercial Cooking
- Solid understanding of HACCP principals
- Proven cooking and catering experience
- Demonstrated commitment to customer service and quality improvement
- Effective communication skills and proven ability to work effectively in a team environment and independently when required
- Excellent work ethic, customer service skills and time management skills
- Flexibility to work all shifts on all days including weekends
- Ability to follow recipes and menus in accordance to meet dietary requirements
Duties include:
- Food preparation and plating
- Cook meals according to diet requirements
- Cleaning
- Food safety documentation
