About the role

Reporting to the ICT Support Lead the ICT Support Coordinator provides IT administrative support to EIRE employees and acts as an interface and conduit between EIRE employees, and the outsourced IT provider (S5)(for Microsoft products). This involves triaging and escalating IT related issues and liaising with the outsourced provider to ensure the resolution of IT issues. In addition, the ICT Support Coordinator is responsible for the ordering and provision of IT equipment and services including laptops, tablets, phones, email accounts and system access to EIRE employees, as well as coordination of IT related registers and services. The ICT Support Coordinator will also provide more generalised administrative support related the use and functionality of EIRE systems, and other ad hoc duties as required.

Eire is looking to fill this position on a Part time basis (approx. 25-30 hours per week) - We are happy to negotiate days / times. 


 

Accountabilities 

IT administrative support 

  • Ad hoc troubleshooting of minor IT issues for Eire staff 

  • Capture IT related issues or requests from EIRE employees and liaise with S5 to ensure timely resolution 

  • Engage constructively with both S5 consultants and EIRE employees to resolve issues 

Provision of IT equipment & services for EIRE employees 

  • Co-ordinate delivery and allocation of ICT equipment for EIRE employees, including (but not limited to) laptops, tablets, keyboard/mouse, monitors, and mobile phones 

  • Implement processes for ordering equipment for new starters to ensure that equipment is available on commencement 

  • Arrange email accounts and system access for new employees 

  • Ensure that all EIRE employees have the correct level of system access as required and appropriate for their role 

  • Maintenance of email distribution groups  

  • Coordinate the return of equipment and cancellation of services for exited employees 

  • Liaise with managers and implement processes to support the onboarding and offboarding process 

Coordination of IT licenses and registers  

  • Purchase and allocation of licensing for non O-365 items, such as Adobe software, Bluebeam and Hightail 

  • Maintenance of registers for IT equipment, phones and software licensing 

  • Allocation of cost and authorisation of billing for purchases and monthly charges for mobile phones, software licences, NBN and ICT support 

  • Liaison with suppliers including Telstra and contractors 

General IT/System support 

  • As and when required, provide ad hoc support to the broader Finance/IT team, including but not limited to data entry and supporting manual workflows  

  • Support for system implementation 

  • Maintenance of SharePoint site 

  • Responsible for phone and videoconferencing systems 

  • Responsible for printer services 

  • Oversight of CCTV footage and the administration of the security system at Newcastle locations 


Key incumbent attributes 

Experience 

  • 2 years’ experience in an IT administration or similar role. Ie: Level 1 help desk. 

Knowledge 

  • Broad knowledge of Microsoft software and systems 

  • Basic knowledge of networks, communication/telephony systems and/or security

Qualifications
