Tamworth Aboriginal Medical Service – Aboriginal Corporation (TAMS-AC) believe each person is important and has a voice that should be heard.
(TAMS-AC) provides culturally appropriate primary healthcare services in Tamworth and surrounding districts.
Our bulk billed medical service is designed to improve health outcomes for the Aboriginal and non-Aboriginal community of Tamworth and surrounding areas focusing on prevention.
TAMS-AC is a fast-paced, progressive corporation that requires a dedicated person to be part of our team as a Medicare Officer. The Medicare Officer plays an integral role in the successful operation of the business.
The staff of TAMS-AC are proud to be employees of the corporation, which is governed by a Board of Directors who consult with community to determine the direction of the business. Resulting in TAMS-AC responding to community needs. There are around 65 staff and expanding.
ABOUT YOU
- Strong knowledge of the Medicare system.
- Serve as the primary Medicare compliance contact and the person responsible for overall compliance with federal, state, and local laws, rules and regulations affecting Medicare services and programs.
- Monitor Medicare billings and provide a report to the Manager on a regular basis on all Medicare claims.
- Develop and maintain a comprehensive Medicare Compliance Program including responding to all related questions or concerns.
- Knowledge and experience with Practice Incentive and WIP programs.
- Good communication and public relations.
- Current Working with Children's Check
- Current Police check.
This new position will be a 6 month trial but may continue if proven successful; temporary Full time.
