One of our trusted clients is currently recruiting a Safety Advisor for a Perth based role located just out of Midland WA. Working with a small safety team and under the guidance of the HSE Manager, you will be exposed to a broad variety of safety-related functions across the business to help further embed a positive safety culture.

Key duties will include:

  • Coaching and mentoring workers and leaders in key safety practices, procedures, and critical controls.
  • Conduct workplace inspections to monitor operational controls' effectiveness.
  • Support the implementation of the HSE Improvement plan and behavioural safety program.
  • Support the operational leaders in reviewing developing and implementing safety systems and projects (i.e. Risk Assessments, Work Instructions, JSEAs and safety training).
  • Ensuring compliance with all legislative requirements.
  • Support the leaders in conducting incident investigations.
  • Conducting regular safety audits, risk assessments and inspections.
  • Coach the leaders in the identification and control of hazards, the prevention of injuries and the maintenance of a safe working environment.
  • Support the maintenance of online safety management software.
  
About You
  • Current WA driver’s license.
  • Minimum of a Certificate 4 in Occupational Health and Safety.
  • Minimum of 2 years experience in a Mining or heavy industry (highly desirable).
  • High level of influencing, communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to conduct training sessions and meetings.
  • Experience leading incident investigations, including ICAM (or similar).
