Workfast is looking for Commissioning/Industrial Electricians to join our client's project in Newcastle NSW. 

  • $58 per hour plus penalties, super and allowances 
  • 9 month project 
  • Up to 6 days a week

Candidates must have at least 4 years of Industrial Electrical Experience and an Australian Electricians licence. Workfast will provide Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), Shirts and Jackets. You MUST be reliable and hardworking. This job is a casual position with full-time (50 - 70) hour weeks for the right Commissioning Electrician and potential long-term work. Plenty of overtime.  

What you need

  • Australian Electrical Licence
  • Electrical Trade Certificate
  • LVR / CPR Certification
  • Construction White Card
  • Minimum of 3 years as a Qualified Electrician / Commissioning Technician
  • Certification in Commissioning / Instrumentation (highly desirable)
  • Large scale inverter experience
  • Full Australian Working Rights
  • Ability to pass full pre - employment medical / drug and alcohol

What you will be doing

  • Commissioning, testing and maintaining HV primary plant including power transformers & HV Cables
  • Basic secondary system testing and fault finding
  • Assist in preparation of commissioning/testing documentation, test plans and create detailed technical reports on completion of works.
