Join Marquee Development Partners (marqueedp.com.au), a family-driven, multi-award-winning property development company in Southeast Queensland with over 30 years' of experience. Specializing in premium beachfront apartments, townhouses, and new housing estates, we are renowned for our innovative designs and exceptional development projects. One of the signature features in our apartment projects are the communal spaces, which we aim to create 5 star hotel experiences for our residents with elaborate interior designs and finishes independently themed for each building. We are currently looking for a skilled Senior Interior Designer to bring creativity and expertise to our vibrant team, working directly alongside the management and development teams to bring the project through to fruition. We have a large pipeline of current projects with multiple projects presently under construction that will allow you to have an immediate impact and input into. The successful candidate can work from either our offices in the Brisbane CBD or on the Gold Coast. Come and work direct for the developer and help create some amazing spaces for our future residents! 

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the planning and execution of interior design from initial concept to final handover, enhancing functionality and aesthetic appeal.
  • Develop and refine detailed design plans, including space planning, mood boards, and comprehensive documentation using sketches, CAD software, and AutoCAD.
  • Design, procure, and oversee the installation of FF&E packages, ensuring compatibility with design objectives and project specifications.
  • Maintain active involvement in all project phases, from design briefing through to tendering, construction documentation, site visits, and final staging/handover.
  • Collaborate closely with architects, engineers, consultants, and tradespeople to integrate interior design elements with broader architectural and structural plans.
  • Ensure premium material and product selection that aligns with our quality standards and project aesthetics.
  • Manage project timelines and deliverables, actively participating in site inspections and problem-solving with construction teams.
  • Contribute creatively to marketing and sales strategies, employing innovative approaches to meet and exceed client expectations.
  • Liaise with external stakeholders including suppliers, artists, and consultants to negotiate pricing, source samples, and coordinate deliveries.

Who We Are Looking For:

  • A dynamic professional with at least 7 years of experience in either premium residential, multi-residential, or hospitality design.
  • Must hold a Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design or Interior Architecture and possess strong technical skills, including proficiency in CAD and AutoCAD.
  • A proactive, creative thinker with excellent project management skills and a proven track record of delivering exceptional design solutions.
  • A team player that collaborates and will be flexible in achieving the best project outcomes
