This will be a fixed term role for 12 months where you will be working with a group of highly proficient and supportive team members.
Responsibilities
- Preparation and processing of month end reporting up to the trial balance stage
- Processing of accruals, prepayments, and subsequent journals
- Non- trade invoices processing: including rental, overhead, staff reimbursement, credit card invoices and payment processing
- Reconciliations including general Ledger and balance Sheet
- Processing foreign currency Payments (if applicable)
- Managing inter-company transactions (if applicable)
- Involvement in the Accounts Payable, including payment processing and bank reconciliation.
- Involvement in the Accounts Receivable, including invoices issuing, payment chasing and bank reconciliation.
- Other ad hoc accounting duties to support the broader team
The ideal candidate will have the following attributes:
- Basic accounting skills as a minimum
- Minimum 2 years' experience in a similar role
- Ability to work within strict deadlines and reporting time tables
- Prioritization and organizational skills
- Excellent attention to detail
- Ability to work autonomously and as part of a wider team
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Some knowledge of Australian Accounting Standards
- Able to show initiative and be a self-starter
- Intermediate computer software skills, including Excel (vlook ups and pivot tables) and Accounting packages
- Business Degree, with a major in Finance or Accounting
- Studying towards CPA / CA – At least three courses passed
