About the business and the role

We are an established Linear LED Lighting Manufacturer supporting 16 sales offices with a strong presence in both domestic and international markets. 

We are currently seeking an experienced Storeperson/Delivery Driver to join our team in Glendenning. 

Responsible for driving and maintaining our company vehicle (C-Class license is suitable) to and from suppliers and delivering finished goods safely to work sites. There will be some in house stores operations and a forklift license is a must. Unloading and loading trucks, some picking and packing and general house keeping duties. 

We offer competitive rates, a 4-day working week with overtime on Fridays.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Ensuring cleanliness, tidiness and safety of work environment.
• Loading and unloading delivery vehicles.
• Accepting delivery of inventory.
• Inspecting inventory for damage and faults.
• Communicating errors to relevant parties.
• Marking and labelling stock.
• Storing inventory in accessible manner.
• Loading and wrapping stock on pallets.
• Building loads with forklift.
• Driving truck for deliveries to and from clients and suppliers. Standard driver’s license.
• Ensuring all paperwork is signed and handed in each day.
• Maintaining vehicle cleanliness and conduct weekly inspections of vehicles, reporting any issues to management immediately.
• Maintaining forklift checks and charging, reporting any issues to management immediately.
• Upkeep of front of house including lawns.

KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES

• 18 years of age or older.
• Work experience as general laborer, preferably in warehouse.
• Ability to operate forklift proficiently.
• Strong people skills.
• Good moral character.
• Physically strong, agile and dexterous, and undeterred by heights and adverse climatic conditions.
• Positive work history and ability to maintain solid attendance.
• Available to work extended hours.
• Forklift and drivers licence
