Our Sea Lake Operations in north-west Victoria are currently seeking an Administration Assistant to join our dynamic team. Sea Lake is a town in the Mallee district of north-west Victoria and is situated along the southern shores of the beautiful Lake Tyrell. The town is located 351kms north-west of Melbourne, and 70kms west of Swan Hill, in the heart of Australia’s wheat belt and part of the beautiful silo trail.

The role

This role reports directly to the HSEQ Coordinator. The role is responsible for the following: 

  • Provide assistance to the HSEQ Coordinator with the promotion and monitoring of Health and Safety initiatives, tasks and reporting and auditing requirements 
  • Assist with the maintenance of Site HSEQ systems and compliance requirements with current certification of ISO9001 and HACCP
  • Aid the Production and Manufacturing teams with quality problem resolution, continuous improvement and ensure reporting of non- conforming products and consequent corrective actions are completed in a timely fashion.
  • Promote a safe working environment and abide by the company’s Safety & Environmental Policies and Procedures
  • Assist the Administration coordinator with financial end of month activities, monitor expenses against the budget and highlight variances to site management team
  • Promote and abide by the company’s Quality and Food Safety Policy and Procedures
  • Provide assistance to the Administration coordinator with administration activities associated with the weighbridge, stock counts and reconciliation, processing of Purchase Orders, receipting of stock, investigating stock variances and truck loads/loading.
  • Complete site projects as requested and assigned by site management. 
  • Provide assistance to the Administration coordinator with collating time sheets.

About you

You enjoy a face paced environment with strong communication skills and have a high attention to detail.  You have proven experience in a similar role with a broad knowledge of the HSEQ process. 

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • PC Based computer skills required - MS Word, Outlook, Excel,
  • Ability to interact & influence with both internal and external stakeholders at all levels
  • Desirable - Computer based Accounts Payable and Payroll Systems
  • Motivated, hardworking and reliable
  • Ability to work unsupervised.
  • Auditing and training skills desired
