The Opportunity

This position within the Integrated Risk Management Team is responsible for implementing Council’s work health and safety (WHS)and risk management systems, protocols and procedures and working with and as a first source of technical advice and guidance for operational staff across the organisation. The position in combeites required to work independently, build productive relationships and contribute to the establishment of a positive and proactive safety culture in a challenging environment.

 

Selection Criteria

  1. Diploma qualification or higher in Work Health and Safety and a minimum of five (5) years’ Integrated Risk Management experience. Return to Work Accreditation, Certificate in Training and Assessment
  2. Sound working knowledge of and demonstrated ability to interpret and apply WHS legislation and international standard for risk management (ISO31000).
  3. Demonstrated planning and project management skills
  4. Demonstrated experience in the business continuity process in-line with associated documentation e.g. Business Continuity Plan (BCP)
  5. Experience in developing and implementing WHS and risk management audit programs.
  6. Demonstrated high level written, verbal and interpersonal skills and the ability to influence others to achieve positive outcomes.
  7. High level of independence and self-direction in managing workload and work requirements and deadlines
  8. Proficiency in the use of the Microsoft Office Suite of products
  9. Current Class C Drivers Licence
