Juniper Aged Care is actively seeking a detail-oriented and
experienced Accounts Payable Officer to join our dedicated team. As an Accounts Payable Officer, you will play a crucial role in managing various aspects of the accounts payable function, including invoice processing, account reconciliation, and addressing payment inquiries. 

We are looking for a candidate with a strong background in accounts payable, exceptional organizational skills, and a proactive problem-solving approach. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Accurately process invoices in a timely manner 
  • Reconcile supplier statements and resolve discrepancies 
  • Address payment queries from suppliers and internal stakeholders 
  • Monitor and manage the "One Time Vendor" Account 
  • Maintain a manageable number of Preferred Vendors 
  • Ensure accuracy of supplier information in line with company policies 
  • Collaborate with the Finance team for seamless payment processing 
  • Assist in month-end closing activities related to accounts payable 
  • Support audits and compliance checks as required 

Required Skills, Knowledge, and Experience:

  • Formal qualification in Accounting / Business Studies (Certificate 3 or 4 upwards) desirable 
  • Minimum of 2-3 years of solid experience in high-volume processing within accounts payable 
  • Previous experience in an Accounts Payable role, preferably within the Aged Care sector 
  • proficiency in accounting software (e.g.,Epicore) and MS Office applications 
  • Strong attention to detail and data entry accuracy 
  • Excellent organizational and time management abilities 
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment 
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills 
  • Proven capability in problem-solving and handling complex payment issues 

Compensation and Benefits:

  • Hourly rate: $36.74 plus super 
  • Access to salary packaging options up to $18,550
    per annum

Additional Opportunity:

We also have a second position available for a fixed-term
contract of six months with the possibility of transitioning into a permanent
role afterwards.
