About the role

We are thriving and have secured new long-term infrastructure and mining projects. We are currently recruiting experienced Underground Charge Up Operators to join our high performing team on the Snowy 2.0 project.  These roles are permanent/full time.

You will be operating our MCU’s (Mobile Charge Units), which are highly advanced medium rigid vehicles fitted with the latest technologies and onboard computer systems to deliver bulk explosives at underground mine sites.

The roster will be 2 weeks on 2 weeks off, the salaries are very healthy, and accommodation and meals are provided on shift.

What you will be doing 

• First and foremost, demonstrating and setting the example of our key company value: 'Safety is our Priority, Always';
• Operating our MCU Vehicles (Mobile Charge Unit) and other associated blasting plant machinery;
• Assisting with preventative maintenance on all associated Plant and Machinery;
• Assisting with the 'hands-on' delivery of explosive products into pre-drilled blast holes;
• Working in tight unison with your teammates to provide excellence in service to our valued customers;
• At all times acting with integrity and respect.

What you will bring 

• A current Medium Rigid (MR) drivers licence, or the ability to obtain prior to commencement;
• Previous experience with Orica MCU or Hypercharge™ units using LOADPlus™ (highly regarded);
• 2+ Years’ experience with production charging using emulsion based products (preferred);
• Current SSAN security clearance or ability to obtain;
• Ability to pass all required security checks in which to obtain a Dangerous Goods licence;
• A current White Card is required;
• You must be COVID Vaccinated to work on this project.
