An exciting opportunity is now available for an experienced Financial Analyst to join our team.

As the Financial Analyst, you will be responsible for the analysis of key financial information to provide feedback that will aid managerial planning and commercial decision-making that will ensure the future growth and profitability of the ACS.

Key Responsibilities:

• Financial Reporting & Analysis - Assist in planning and commercial decision-making through modelling, trend analysis, forecasting and budget development assistance.
• Business Risk –Conduct business risk assessments and advise on ways to minimise risk. Assist in the research and develop financial policies, guidelines & procedures
• Operational Excellence –Find solutions to improve processes including the use of technology to automate tasks and drive improvement

To be successful in this role, you should have;

Qualifications 

• Relevant tertiary qualifications in Finance  with 
• CA/CGMA/CIMA (Operational Level Certification) 
• Advanced computer software skills, including writing macros in Excel and other accounting packages (Hyperion / Essbase / BI Tools) 
  
   

Work Experience  

• Advanced knowledge of financial modelling and business architecture 
• Experience in Financial Management and analysis coupled with development of budgets and reporting 
• Experience in an FP&A environment 
• Excellent knowledge and experience of cost accounting and reporting 
• Experience in working with and reporting of complex group and tax structures 
• Highly knowledgeable, strong understanding and up to date with AASB/IFRS standards 
• Knowledge of financial investments, portfolio performance review and management of investors 
   

Skills/Abilities 

Mathematical ability and business knowledge will be integral due to the breadth of financial information 

• Significant analytical skillset, including the utilisation of BI and reporting tools 
• Strong Critical and analytical skills including the ability to assess complex problems and propose solutions and then develop the framework to implement them 
• Impeccable written communication and interpersonal skills with an ability to work effectively with people at all levels of the organization, internal and external stakeholders 
• Excellent ability to multi-task, work independently, manage multiple deadlines simultaneously and to use initiative and problem-solving skills to organise and prioritise workloads 
• Proven ability to identify problems in a timely manner and offer solutions, including conflict resolution and the introduction and management of ever-improving systems and processes 
• Self-starters adapt well to change and be excited by the prospect of continuous learning 
• Excellent presentation skills 
• Strong mentor, who will always be pushing to develop the team’s skills-set and capability 
• Proven ability to build and maintain relationships with multiple stakeholders 
• Strong system and Excel skills 
• Strong attention to detail and organisational skills 
• High level of business acumen both in for profit and not-for profit space 
• Be able to undertake a continual review of procedures to achieve and maintain best practice 
• Proven ability to maintain confidentiality and deal with sensitive and difficult matters in a diplomatic manner
