We are currently seeking an experienced Executive Housekeeper at The Reef Hotel Casino, the pre-eminent centre for gaming, entertainment, food and accommodation in Cairns. 

This is a fantastic opportunity for a highly experienced, passionate and enthusiastic leader with proven managerial ability in a comparable five-star property to lead our Housekeeping Team. 

Key Responsibilities 

✓ Coordinate and manage the day-to-day operations of the housekeeping department, including rooms, laundry, uniform, public areas, and casino cleaning. 

✓ Lead a large diverse team to achieve high level performance, standards and outcomes. 

✓ Ensure five-star standards and cleanliness throughout the complex. 

✓ Manage the housekeeping finances including budget analysis, wages, cost control, productivity, forecasting, rostering and purchasing. 

✓ Build and maintain strong relationships with all departments within the complex . 

Criteria 

✓ Recent, relevant housekeeping managerial experience in a five-star establishment which includes recruitment, performance development & disciplinary skills. 

✓ Demonstrated success in setting and maintaining exceptional standards. 

✓ Proven financial management experience with positive outcomes. 

✓ Excellent communication skills both written and verbal. 

✓ Efficient time management skills; managing competing priorities. 

✓ Outstanding leadership and people management skills.
