Available Roles: 

Working in a part time capacity across the Eastern Metro Melbourne communities, our home care workers assist our clients in aspects of daily care to live independently in the comfort of their own homes. In this role, you will support clients in Lilydale and the surrounding areas.
 

Home Care Workers provide direct care and domestic assistance duties, as well as social support and transport as required for clients.  

Domestic Home Care Support staff provide domestic assistance duties only, as well as social support and transport as required for clients. This role does not require a Qualification.

 You will:  

  • Ensure that client’s rights, cultural, spiritual and other individual needs are incorporated in all aspects of care and daily living 
  • Work within a multidisciplinary team, provide effective support to clients, recognise changes in clients’ conditions and escalate observations and concerns in accordance with Uniting AgeWell processes
  • Promote and participate in quality activities, and provide outstanding customer service maintaining friendly, supportive and professional relationships with clients, their relatives and friends
  • Support colleagues by sharing knowledge and expertise

About you:

You are passionate about what you do and want to make a difference in the lives of our residents/clients, enhancing their self-esteem and empowering them to make choices.

This is the place for you if you have:

  • Certificate III/IV or equivalent in Individual Support (Aged or Disability) or equivalent (or currently studying a Diploma in Nursing or Bachelor of Nursing)
  • Experience in a home care setting is desirable
  • Comprehensive knowledge in community care with a commitment to high standards of care for clients and their families
  • Understanding of client directed care
  • Unqualified entry jobs available 

Essentials for working in Aged Care:

  • A current Working With Children Check 
  • Current and ongoing flu and COVID-19 Vaccinations
  • Australian working rights
  • Ability to pass a national police clearance
