We operate a beautiful 44-bed residential aged care facility in the heart of the Hunter Valley located in Singleton NSW. Our residents are the focus of all we do, and we are continually working to provide exceptional care choices to help them live their best life possible.
About the role
- Based in our Singleton Aged Care Facility
- Casual role with cleaning shifts available on weekdays (6am - 2pm) and weekends (6am-1pm)
- Laundry shifts are available weekdays from 6:30am - 2:30pm / Weekends from 6:30am - 1pm
- Ensure that internal facilities are kept clean and tidy in accordance with Mercy’s hygiene and safety standards
- Use your cleaning and/or laundry experience to maintain a clean, safe and comfortable home for our residents
- Support our residents to have clean clothing and laundry each day
Our ideal candidate will have:
- Previous experience in cleaning, laundry, housekeeping or similar
- A strong understanding of hygiene, safety, and infection control guidelines
- Excellent time management skills and ability to complete tasks without direct supervision
- A genuine passion for helping people, particularly with a desire to help older people
- Be a team player with a positive, can-do approach
- Professionalism and alignment with the values and ethos of Mercy Services
- Ability to maintain high standards of safety in all that you do within the workplace
Desirable
- Experience in a cleaning/housekeeping role in an aged care facility, hotel or similar
- Qualifications in Cleaning, Health Support or similar
This role is covered under the Aged Care Award 2010.
The safety of our clients and residents is absolutely paramount.
As part of our Employment screening process you will be required to undertake a National Criminal Record Check, NDIS Worker Check and Working with Children Check. Applicants must demonstrate the right to work in Australia.
It is now mandatory to be fully vaccinated (3 doses) against COVID-19 to work at an Aged Care Facility.
