Rosmech Sales & Service Pty Ltd currently has multiple opportunities available for self-motivated, enthusiastic, and driven people to join our dynamic team. 

Opportunities are available for experienced and reliable Mechanical Fitters to join our assembly team. 

About Us

Rosmech is Australia's leading independent supplier of specialised truck mounted and compact road sweepers. We are seeking individuals with strong mechanical skills who will use their knowledge coupled with on-the-job training to grow and develop with the business. 

Requirements of the Role

The full-time position based in Salisbury Plain will report to the Production Manager. Some of the core duties of this position are: 

Back end

  • Working in a team to achieve the fitment of a sweeper body and sweeper components to the cab chassis of Hino and ISUZU;
  • Fitting sub frames to chassis and securing via fish plates;
  • Running and installing hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical hoses, lines, and wires to desired locations;
  • Installing water pumps, hydraulic motors, and pneumatic rams to sub frame mounting plates and legs;
  • Fitting hoppers to sub frames and connecting all components;
  • Running and testing sweeper;

Front End

  • Working in a team to achieve the left-hand drive dual steer conversion of Hino, ISUZU and IVECO trucks. Your role will be to modify the factory right hand drive cab chassis to accommodate left hand drive;
  • Remove and store all cab components from inside cab;
  • Cut, drill, rivet and screw using jigs to accommodate left had drive components;
  • Install steering box, steering arms, stub axles, steering column, and dash components;
  • Installing any electrical options, the customer has requested, beacons, arrow bars, work lights, GPS, weighing systems; and 
  • Running and testing cab chassis dual steer conversion.

The requirements

The successful applicant must:

  • Hold at least an AQF Level IV qualification (or comparable international qualification) as a Mechanic, Fitter or Auto Electrician;
  • Have proficient mechanical and fitter knowledge;
  • Have at least three years’ relevant employment experience;
  • Demonstrated abilities with hydraulic and pneumatic components;
  • Ability to use power tools and MiG welding techniques;
  • Have a Driver’s License;
  • Display a sense of urgency and punctuality in their work;
  • Pass a pre-employment medical, including drug and alcohol assessment to ascertain their ability to adequately perform all duties as required; and
  • Be neat and tidy, take responsibility for own workspace.
