Medical Receptionist (full time)

We have a full-time opportunity available for an experienced Medical Receptionist to join our team at our clinic in Chatswood.
Vision Eye Institute Chatswood has been at the forefront of technological advancements in ophthalmology for 20 years. The clinic has a contemporary interior and features 2 comfortable reception areas, 14 consulting rooms and a treatment room for minor procedures.
About You:
As a Medical Receptionist you will have the opportunity to provide excellent patient service and administrative support and will be the primary point of contact for people to interact with the clinic.
About the role:
Our General Consulting Team operates between 7.30am-5.30pm, and as part of the medical reception team, the start and finish times for your shifts will be rotated between these hours.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Provide a high-quality service and experience for our patients.
- Actively support the smooth day- to-day running of the clinic.
- Carry out general clinic administration duties using patient management systems for booking, record keeping purposes, invoicing/processing fees, maintain schedules and preparing patient documentation.
- Liaise with all VEI stakeholders (including patients, colleagues, doctors, managers, referrers and visitors).
- Effectively attend to inbound calls in a polite, pleasant, professional and prompt manner.
What you'll bring:
- Excellent communication skills in person and over the telephone and a good level of computer literacy.
- Ability to work semi autonomously when required, whilst also contributing positively to team culture and workplace relationships.
- High-quality approach to customer service, with an excellent telephone manner.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
