Karora Resources is a Canadian owned, multi-asset gold producer with operations across the Goldfields region of Western Australia. Our producing mining operations of Beta Hunt and Higginsville are supported by two processing facilities, one on site at Higginsville and our Lakewood plant located in Kalgoorlie, providing a combined processing capacity of 2.6Mtpa.

THE OPPORTUNITY

  • Operation of all processing plant equipment relating to: Milling, CIL, Crushing & the Elution circuit
  • Operate the forklift, EWP, and skid-steer in a safe and correct manner
  • Operate process control systems using CITECT
  • Identify and diagnose items of the plant that require preventative maintenance or repair
  • Identify and act on ways of improving output or efficiency of the plant
  • Liaising with Contractors and Stakeholders as required

 

ABOUT YOU

  • Current “C” Class Western Australian driver’s licence
  • 2 years experience working within a metalliferous processing plant (gold, nickel, copper, lithium)
  • Physically fit and able to perform manual tasks 
  • Experience in process control and SCADA systems (CITECT) (desirable)
  • Confined Space Ticket (desirable)
  • Gas Testing Ticket (desirable)
  • Working at Heights Ticket (desirable)
  • Forklift Licence (desirable)
  • A can-do, team-oriented attitude
  • Desire to maintain a proactive safe working environment
  • Reasonable computer skills & literacy, particularly across the MS Office suite 
  • Solid problem-solving skills, with the ability to think on your feet and be adaptable
  • Excellent communication skills
